TESTEX Gas Fume Chamber TF417
The Gas Fume Chamber is designed to evaluate the color fastness of textiles after exposure to atmospheric oxides of nitrogen resulting from the combustion of gases. This instrument meets industry standards such as AATCC 23, ISO 105-GO2, and EN ISO 105-GO2, among others.

Application
The Gas Fume Chamber generates atmospheric oxides of nitrogen by combusting natural gas, which is used to evaluate the color fastness of textiles to burnt gas fumes. The chamber exposes a specimen of the textile and a control fabric to these oxides until the control fabric exhibits a color change comparable to the standard of fading. The change in color of the specimen is assessed using a standardized gray scale.
The Gas Fume Chamber comprises a testing chamber, a burning and control chamber, a rotating sample rack, a standardized gas burner, a test duration timer, and an exhaust port that can be connected to an extractor system. The temperature can be digitally set and automatically controlled through a closed-loop PLC system.
The Gas Fume Chamber features a unique design that ensures safe operation. The chamber includes an automatic ignition system that can be activated at the start of the test or during the night if the burner is extinguished. A gas leakage detection device prevents the igniter from activating if gas is detected, and a fan located on the top of the chamber ensures safe operation.
